Biography
Quique Dacosta is one of the leading figures in contemporary Spanish cuisine. At the helm of Quique Dacosta Restaurante in Dénia, he has developed a cuisine closely linked to the Valencian region and the Mediterranean, in which produce, research and creativity play a central role. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars and in 2024 entered the top 15 of The World's 50 Best Restaurants, reaching 14th place.His work also extends to other projects. In València, he runs Llisa Negra and Vuelve Carolina and, since January 2026, Flores Raras, the restaurant that took over from El Poblet and retains its two Michelin stars. In Madrid, he is behind Deessa at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, which holds two Michelin stars. His gastronomic portfolio is completed by Arros QD in London and QD at Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay in Morocco.
Throughout his career, Dacosta has received, among other distinctions, the Premio Nacional de Gastronomía and the Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes. In 2026, the Guía Michelin named him Chef Mentor.
