Biography

Robert Lechuga, trained at Albert Adrià's Bodega 1900, runs Casa Parera, located in a historic modernist building in the heart of Mataró. It is an informal restaurant serving tapas and small dishes. Lechuga's cuisine is based on local, seasonal produce and well-prepared stocks. With a carefully selected wine list, Casa Parera is a tribute to the produce and the neighbourhood.

The Cuiner Gastronomic Forum Barcelona award, which was born in 2009, recognizes the work of emerging chefs who offer quality culinary proposals, using local products , and who are committed to sustainable cuisine. Six candidates, pre-selected through online voting and the criteria of a specialized jury, cook live a dish that identifies them and summarizes their cuisine.
