Biography
Jordi Puig Roca is an environmental scientist, PhD in Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Climate Change and Global Environmental Change, and holds a master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention. For years, he has worked in the fields of sustainability, municipal management, and organic farming, both in the public sector (Government of Catalonia, Departments of Environment and Presidency) and in consultancy.He is the coordinator of L’Espigall, where he leads projects focused on the recovery of local varieties, agroecology, and climate change adaptation. He also coordinates the Seed Bank of Vallès Oriental at the Granollers Museum of Natural Sciences.He has been a member of the Council of the Xarxa de Conservació de la Natura (XCN), a board member of the Catalan Commission of Local Varieties of the Department of Agriculture, and coordinator of the agricultural stewardship group of the XCT. He has published several scientific articles in international journals and is the author or co-author of books on natural and cultural heritage.Sessions
