Gastronomic Forum Barcelona 2026 will grow in exhibition offer and capacity

    • The event, which will be held from 2 to 4 November, makes the leap to Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue to gain capacity and projection
    • The show is expected to bring together more than 450 companies from the hospitality, gastronomy and foodservice sectors, 12% more than in the last edition

Gastronomic Forum Barcelona will return from 2 to 4 November 2026 with an edition that marks a turning point in its history, boosted by its move to Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via Venue. This new location will allow the event to grow by up to 12% compared to 2025, improve the exhibition experience and strengthen its role as a reference platform for the professional gastronomic sector, in an edition in which the participation of more than 450 companies from the hospitality, gastronomy and foodservice industry is expected.

The change of venue responds to the need to have a larger, more modern and functional space, thus consolidating its position as a key meeting point for all restaurant profiles, from haute cuisine to the bar, the restaurant or the restaurant with a daily menu.

More than 93% of the companies that participated in the last edition will repeat their presence this year. Among them are leading companies such as Damm, Makro, Meritem, Cuinats Jotri, Grupo Borràs, Torrent i Fills, Garcimar, Carnia, Collverd, Artesanía Congelada, Herpac, Caviaroli, Mas Uniformes, Garcia de Pou, Randstech, BonÀrea, Transgourmet, Mirfil, Concept Pa, Unox, Innova Chef, Menú Iberia, Casa Tió, Bidfood, Cafés Pont, Pordamsa and Frigoríficos Ferrer, among others.

Along with the large foodservice companies, the show will also have the participation of more than 200 small producers who will exhibit individually from different territories of Spain. Its presence is articulated through institutions such as Prodeca, the Xunta de Galicia and Extremadura – which is participating for the first time – as well as the provincial councils of Burgos, A Coruña, Barcelona, Lleida, Girona and Tarragona, the latter also making its debut in the contest. In this way, Gastronomic Forum Barcelona strengthens its link with local produce and the territory.

This year we will bring together the largest exhibition offer of all the editions of Gastronomic Forum Barcelona in a new location that allows us to grow and offer a modern, efficient environment adapted to the needs of the sector,” explains Josep Alcaraz, director of the show.

    Gastronomic program

The 2026 edition will revolve around a central axis: tradition as a creative engine. The programme will propose a contemporary look at culinary origins as a source of innovation, identity and future.

Based on this approach, the programme will be structured in three main lines: the reinterpretation of tradition from different territorial realities; the new formats in catering, with special attention to the revaluation of the bar as the central space of the restaurant; and the recruitment of new audiences, with a specific focus on Generation Z, through a block dedicated to young talent and new ways of understanding the profession.

The programme is based on tradition, but clearly looks to the present and future of gastronomy, connecting reflection, practice and new perspectives that help to understand how the sector is evolving,” says Pep Palau, content director of Gastronomic Forum Barcelona.

In addition, areas such as pastries, bakeries, delicatessens, fishmongers and ice cream parlours, which are experiencing a moment of dynamism within the sector, will have specific programming adapted to their respective professional profiles, in line with the show’s exhibition offer.

As in every edition, Gastronomic Forum Barcelona will host the presentation of various professional awards, including the Best Chef Award, in collaboration with La Vanguardia; the Innoforum; the Mercader Award; The Baker, promoted by the Gremi de Flequers; and the award for the Best Panettone in Spain, organized by the Gremi de Pastissers. The event will also be the scene of the presentation of reference publications such as the Slow Food Guide 2027 and the Augusta Guide.

The last edition of Gastronomic Forum Barcelona, held in November 2025, brought together 400 companies representing all foodservice segments and exceeded 21,800 professional visitors. Its programme included the participation of more than 180 experts and 190 gastronomic sessions, figures that endorse the consolidation of the show and its ability to attract within the sector.
